Mother. The word alone is enough to conjure feelings and emotions towards a human in a way that is very rarely duplicated. Many women can give birth to new life, but it takes a special individual to truly nurture that life in a way that goes beyond nature’s intent. A mother exemplifies what it means to love, to be patient, to be warm and nurturing. Their role is enough to change the outlook of a precious young mind and powerful enough to change the world. Their love is never-ending, without caveats or boundaries. Their mere existence is the foundation for the survival of an entire race, and their importance goes beyond that of a single day of the year.
So, to all the mothers that remain ‘on-duty’ 365 days a year (and 366 days in a leap year), I say THANK YOU for all that you do, and I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
